Any questions about our Stitch-a-Longs? Our FAQs might have the answer you're looking for.
Each new SAL has its own release schedule, which we announce when pre-orders open. Patterns are delivered to you by email as a PDF, with each of the four parts arriving fortnightly. We always aim to dispatch any physical kits well ahead of the first release date, so everything arrives with you in plenty of time.
A Stitch-a-Long is a project rolled out in parts, allowing stitchers from around the world join together to stitch the same design at the same time. One new part of the pattern is released at regular intervals, so you have plenty of time to enjoy each section before the next one arrives. It's a wonderful way to be part of a global stitching community whilst creating a beautiful piece you'll treasure for years to come.
A typical SAL is divided into four parts, each released fortnightly. You'll stitch your way through the design gradually over eight weeks, which makes it a really enjoyable and manageable project.
We run several Stitch-a-Longs throughout the year, each with its own unique seasonal theme and design. From cosy winter SALs to bright and breezy summer designs, there's always something beautiful on the horizon. Our Christmas SAL is a firm annual favourite and not to be missed. Keep an eye on the website and sign up to our newsletter to make sure you never miss a new announcement.
Our SALs are suitable for all levels, so they're a wonderful choice whether you're fairly new to cross stitch or a more experienced stitcher looking for a beautiful seasonal project to enjoy. The fortnightly structure also makes each one feel very approachable, however busy you are.
You can craft completely your own pace! The fortnightly release schedule is there so you can stitch along with the community if you wish, but there's absolutely no pressure to keep up. Many of our stitchers love dipping in and out and catching up in their own time. The joy is in the journey!
Yes, absolutely! It's never too late to join in. If you purchase the Stitch-a-Long after it has begun, you'll automatically receive all of the previous parts, so you can get straight up to speed and stitch along at your own pace.
Yes, the Historical Sampler Company ships worldwide. Free delivery is available on all UK orders over £60. International delivery charges are calculated at checkout.
Many of our Stitch-a-Longs are indeed suitable for biginners. If a project is more advanced, we'll always ensure this is indicated. A SAL is broken into four bite-sized parts released over a number of weeks, allowing you to stitch along at your own pace.
